3 Phase EV Charger Upgrade

We recently completed a bespoke EV charging upgrade in Taunton, transforming an existing installation to significantly improve charging performance and future capacity.

Project Overview

This project involved upgrading a customer’s existing Zappi EV charger from a single-phase to a three-phase supply. With access to a rare three-phase supply in a domestic setting, the property was ideally suited to support faster EV charging speeds of up to 22kW.

What We Delivered

• Upgraded the existing Zappi EV charger to a three-phase supply
  
• Installed a new three-phase distribution board with capacity for future expansion
  
• Integrated surge protection to enhance system safety and reliability
  
• Reconfigured wiring to support increased charging performance

The Result

The upgraded system now enables significantly faster charging times, providing the customer with a more efficient and future-ready EV charging solution. The addition of a dedicated three-phase distribution board also allows for easy expansion should further electrical upgrades be required.
