Industrial Forklift Charging Infrastructure

We were commissioned to deliver a large-scale electrical infrastructure upgrade across two operational sites for our long-standing client, Yeo Valley, supporting the rollout of improved lithium-ion charging systems for their Material Handling Equipment (MHE) fleet supplied by Jungheinrich UK.
Project Overview
This project involved the design and installation of dedicated charging infrastructure across both production and storage facilities. The upgrade supported a wider transition to faster charging electric-powered MHE, including pallet trucks, forklift trucks, and reach trucks, enabling improved efficiency and reduced down-time across site operations.
Working closely with the client’s project team and Jungheinrich UK, we ensured each charger was supplied with a robust, reliable electrical supply while maintaining full operational continuity throughout the works.
What We Delivered
- Close coordination with production, warehouse, and engineering teams across both sites
- Installation of new distribution equipment to accommodate increased electrical demand
- 48 x new three-phase (400V) charging supplies
- 25 x new single-phase (230V) charging supplies
- Full installation of associated containment systems and power cabling
- Phased delivery to minimise disruption to live operational environments
The Result
Both sites now benefit from a modern, scalable charging infrastructure designed to support the changing requirements of their MHE fleet.
The installation provides sufficient capacity for the current fleet while allowing for future growth as electrification expands across operations.
